Wakefield Athletic "B" registered their first points of the season with a hard-fought victory over Ship Inn in this Division Three fixture.
 
The game was evenly matched before an own goal from Sid Eastwood gave the Ship Inn a narrow 1-0 lead at half-time.
 
Wakefield responded when Henry Tang and Tom Maher combined on the right for Sebstain Szreniawski to glance home a header into the far corner for the equaliser.  Leading marksman Marc Shaw doubled their lead with a well-taken goal out-smarting the home keeper in a 1:1 situation.
 
The visitors joy was short-lived when sloppy defending saw Lee Moffit shoot past Keeper Paul Grey to make it 2-2.  Wakefield regained the lead through an own goal but a harsh handball decision let Chris Hay to score from the resultant spot-kick to make 3-3.
 
Wakefield upped the tempo and were rewarded when Tom Maher rifled a shot through a crowded box before Richard Brown made it 5-3 after some good work from Matthew Kidd.
