Wakefield & District Sunday Football League (Division Three)

Tingley Bulls ------------------------------------------------ 1
Wakefield Athletic “B”  -------------------------------------- 0

Wakefield Athletic B's fight for survival took a severe dent with a defeat at the hands of Tingley Bulls seeing relegation from Division Three now a harsh reality.

Wakefield's home ground was waterlogged and the game was switched to East Ardsley on the morning of the match.

Blustery conditions made good football difficult but both teams made up for it with passion and determination in a close fought match with just a solitary goal separating the two sides.

Tingley started the better using the wind to their advantage and scored the only goal of the game after 20 minutes.

Wakefield rallied and stretched the Bull's rearguard time and time again but they remained solid and limited Athletic to half chances to secure a maximum three points.

The West Yorkshire Sports & social Club's man-of-the match award for Wakefield Athletic "B" was shared by Andy Black, Gary Kilbride and Simon Eastwood.
