I am concerned about the lack of commitments and poor attendance at football training on Wednesday evenings.

Last week only three players turned up for training and embarrassingly they happened to be our new signings from the Leeds area.  This is the last image of the club we wish to portray.

Yesterday, only five active players turned up plus three new players.  I texed 26 players to prompt them about training but this appeared to have fallen to deaf ears.

For the last few years, this club has been striving to find an adequate training base for the players without success but now the club can offer this opportunity which i hope the players and the officials will support & embrace.

One individual has invested a lot of their own time & personal funds to rubber stamp the new base at WYCO to give the WAFC a stable base with further opportunities to develop.  Part of the agreement for the new base was to sign up to the use of the all weather training area every Wednesday from 7.00 - 9.00 pm.

I appeal to the players to access the training facilities/sessions not only for maintaining fitness but also for team building/bonding purpose.  I also strongly urge the team managers and captains to drive the above message forward to their respective teams & individual players become more pro-active.
