WAFC OLYMPICS

Twenty three active players and four guests took part in the Wakefield Athletic FC "Olympics" last Sunday as part of the Club's 25th Anniversary celebrations.
 
The wet conditions did not dampen the players sprits and produced a competitive but friendly contest in the nine events organised by the Club's Activity co-ordniator, Kevin Guy. 
 
The highlight of the day was "Hit the Crossbar Challenge" which produced the loudest cheer of the day with Sam Murphy & David Markwell finishing as joint winners - both players hit the crossbar from the Halfway line from four attempts each.
