Depleted Wakefield Athletic were knocked-out by Bradford Alliance league outfit, Mill Lane, In this WRCFA Sunday Trophy competition played in Shipley on Sunday.
Wakefield made a good start and took the lead in the opening minutes with a spot-kick goal from player-manager Iso Budimir.

Mill Lane fought back and equalised through Martin Thomas and took control of the match.  Wakefield’s stand-in keeper Matthew Killey was forced into three outstanding saves before the home side took 
a 4-1 halftime lead with goals from Steve Hollingworth, Lee Taylor and Mark Conserdene.

Wakefield had a good spell on the turn but could not wear down a solid performing Mill Lane who added to their tally via Dave Pemberton.  A late rally from the visiting side saw Lamin Conteh pull one 
back but Mill Lane proved deserved winners.

The Express man-of-the match for Wakefield Athletic was shared by Mark Tallant and Matthew Killey.
