Wakefield & District Sunday Football League

Wakefield Athletic Football Club who field three teams in the Wakefield & District Sunday Football League enter their 26th season with bi-weekly pre-season training this weekend.
 
The club is hoping to attract unattached players to join the club as it aims to freshen up it's three sides which play in Division One, Two and Four respectively.
 
Iso Budimir and Colin Hill will supervise the pre-season training sessions which start on Sunday 28th June (10.00 am) and Wednesday 1st July (6.30 pm) at Stanley Royd Playing Fields.

The Award Presentation Night in their "Silver Jubilee" year took place at their home base at the West Yorkshire Sport's & Social Club in Sandal, Wakefield last Friday. 
 
Top Goal Scorer: Scott Everett, Simon Newey and Ben Ladley (First Team, "A" Team and "B" Team respectively).
 
Manager's Player of the Year: Robert Watson, Jason Firth and Andy Ladley.
 
Player's Player of the Year: Scott Everett, Tom Salter and Henry Tang.
 
Club's Young Player of the Year: Conor Henshaw.
 
President's Long Service Award: Iso Budimir
 
Appreciation Awards: Pete Eastwood, Lee Everett, Matthew Rodwell, Darren Mawson, Kath Grace and Graham Walker.

Below is the B team Kingpin, gaffer, center back, Manager supreme and the best pink hat wearing manager in the league Gary Kidd. This from a B team night out with included 12 of there 14 squad members now that's togetherness.
